MVA Glen Burnie office reopens after $12 million renovation.

The Motor Vehicle Administration in Glen Burnie has reopened after two years of renovation and $12 million in investment. The 60-year-old building, with over 800 state employees, has upgraded HVAC, better workstations, and faster self-check-in kiosks.
Five contenders are vying for the vacant District 30A delegate seat.
The Democratic Central Committee is initiating the process of choosing a replacement for the seat that opened following Shaneka Henson’s elevation to the Maryland Senate.
Here are the five candidates who have indicated their interest in the vacant seat:
1. Dylan Behler, 26. He lives in Eastport and previously worked with the current County Executive campaign.
2. Abigail Diehl, 43. She ran against Elfreth in the Democratic primary for Maryland’s 3rd Congressional District.
3. Lindsay Donahue, 43. She also participated in the Democratic primary that produced Sarah Elfreth. Lindsay is a director at Ready Computing, an IT firm based in New York City.
4. Chrissy Holt, 58. With her background in technology and leadership, if selected, she hopes to focus on housing, access to healthcare, and many more.
5. Brooks Schandelmeier, 34. He is the current alderman for Ward 5 on the Annapolis City Council, who was chosen in 2020 by the Annapolis Democratic Central Committee to fill the seat left by Marc Rodriguez.

Navy Midshipmen Guard named to Patriot League Basketball Honor Roll.

Guard Austin Benigni was named one of the four players on the honor roll. He becomes the second Navy player to earn the honor this season after forward Donovan Draper.
